Love CBD E-liquid Review

The new Love CBD e-liquids come in two varieties, Indica and Sativa; I’ve just finished trying them both. They were sent to me for review on the 5th of October 2021 and arrived the following day. They were wrapped in a bubble wrap pouch and placed inside a Jiffy bag.

The label on the bottle is relatively simple with some basic details and a list of ingredients. The bottles themselves are made from lightweight, black plastic which gives them a professional finish. The e-liquid is almost completely clear with a slight hint of amber.

Each bottle holds 10ml of e-liquid with 500mg of CBD (5%), 100mg of CBG (1%) with a range of terpenes. The hemp extracts used in these e-liquids are isolates so won’t contain and other cannabinoids. The isolate and terpenes are suspended in a blend of propylene glycol(PG), vegetable glycerine(VG) in a ratio of 65/35.

‘Sativa’ and ‘India’ refer to the blend of terpenes used. They’ve been chosen to imitate the flavours and effects of two popular cannabis strains:

  • Indica – This e-liquid has a terpene profile based on the well-known Indica cannabis strain Banana Kush.
  • Sativa – The terpene profile of this e-liquid is designed to imitate Pineapple Express.

The terpenes used are taken from non-hemp sources and combined to provide flavours and effects similar to these famous cannabis varieties.

One 10ml bottle will fill a 2ml tank five times to provide 100mg of CBD and 20mg of CBG with each refill. I always use 40mg of CBD per day to make to give a fair comparison in my reviews. So, I aimed to use about two-fifths of a tank per day. At this rate, I used 40mg CBD and 8mg CBG for about twelve days.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve tried lots of different CBD e-liquids, some for reviews, most just for personal use. However, I was particularly looking forward to trying these because of the potential of additional effects provided by the terpenes and the CBG. CBG is a cannabinoid that complements CBD well because it provides similar effects.

  • They both relaxed me and reduced my anxiety.

  • There are third-party lab results available for both e-liquids.
  • The lab results verified the advertised amount of CBD.

Who is Love CBD?

Known as CBD pioneers, Love CBD are a UK brand based in Newmarket, Suffolk. Since they started, their goal has been to provide high-quality products and to conduct their business with transparency and honesty.

They do this by commissioning a third-party lab to test every batch of their products. Examples of these are then made available to their customers on their website. They’re also members of the Cannabis Trades Association and stick to their guidelines to ensure that they remain compliant with the latest industry standards.

All Love CBD products contain cannabinoids extracted from legal European hemp strains. To ensure that the finished item is safe and effective, they use the best raw materials. The hemp is grown without pesticides, herbicides, artificial fertilisers or harmful chemicals.

Their approach appears to be effective as they have many happy customers and an excellent rating from over 4,000 reviews on Trustpilot. There are lots of mentions of the high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

They also offer several other products, including oils, sprays, capsules, balms and tea. So far, I’ve reviewed the Love CBD Entourage oil, Entourage CBD capsules, Dutch Spray and CBD balm.

3rd Party Lab Tests

Love CBD keep lab results for all their products on their website. There is just one example for each e-liquid type and I couldn’t find a batch number on the certificate. There is a tiny number written on the bottles (Fl0432) but it didn’t correspond with anything on the results. This means that I couldn’t verify that the results on the page correspond to the specific product I received.

The certificates are basic and only show a cannabinoid profile. Because Love CBD grow their hemp without pesticides it would be good to see this verified with screening for contaminants. I’d also like to see an analysis of the terpenes to show which are present and to verify the difference between the Sativa and Indica liquids. Endoca is a brand that provides an excellent example of how informative lab results can be.

The analysis was conducted by Eurofins which is an international company with its headquarters in Luxembourg. The only cannabinoids detected were CBD, CBG and CBDV. The presence of the CBDV isn’t unusual when isolates are used. The CBD and CBG were present in amounts similar to those advertised on the label: Sativa certificate showed 5.3% CBD and 1.1% CBG. The Indica sample contained 5.08%CBD and 0.98%CBG.

These e-liquids scored 7 out of 10 because you can access examples of the lab results for each product and they verify the amount of CBD and CBG. It didn’t score higher because batch numbers weren’t used to help customers identify data that refer to their specific item. Also, it would have been useful to see more detail included such as a contaminant screening and terpene profile.

Ease of UseLove CBD E-Liquid Narrow Tip Filling a Vape Tank

The bottles are lightweight and secured with a child-safe cap. I carried mine with me in a pocket and experienced no leaks. The narrow tip meant that I could apply a precise number of drops to both my pen vapes, even the one with the narrow tank.

Other easy to use e-liquids with precise tips include Vsavi e-liquid and Harmony CBD vape juice.

Love CBD e-Liquid Taste

Both the Sativa and the Indica e-liquid have mild herbal, hemp-like flavours. There’s a noticeable catch in the throat as you inhale but it wasn’t too much. I generally enjoy e-liquids that use terpenes to give them a cannabis-like taste but these were a little too mild for me. They were both slightly citrusy but the Sativa had a hint of sweetness to it.

Potency/ Effectiveness

I used the Sativa e-liquid first for 12 days and when the bottle was finished I switched to the indica. The Sativa made me feel relaxed almost immediately, I also noticed a significant reduction in my usual levels of anxiety. With e-liquids, I’ve used before like that from Hempura it usually takes a while for me to notice the results but these were apparent from the first use just like those from Cibdol.

When I switched to the indica the results were almost identical; a relaxing sensation throughout my body and fewer symptoms of anxiety. Sativa cannabis strains are usually considered to produce more alert, energetic effects and Indica are known to produce heavier sensations of relaxation. For me the difference between them was minimal. They both made me feel relaxed with relatively few puffs.

Value for Money

A 10ml bottle of e-liquid containing 500mg CBD and 100mg CBG costs £19.99. This works out at about 3p per mg of cannabinoids. This makes it comparatively cheaper than most of the other e-liquids I’ve tried even Vitality CBD and the CBD Asylum e-liquids which are both priced at about 4p per mg.

Despite the flavour being slightly too mild for me, these e-liquids offer exceptional value. I found the mix of CBD and CBG to be very effective.

Would I Buy Again?

I’d like to see a contaminant screening added to the lab results but overall this is an effective e-liquid that I’d happily buy again. If you are looking for a CBD e-liquid that is superior, we have more options that I think are better, they can be found in our best CBD e-liquids review.
