Reakiro 5% CBD Oil Review

Reakiro CBD Oil Review

Reakiro is a European brand that has recently introduced their range to the UK. They produce CBD oils and e-liquids, but this is just one aspect of a much larger multifaceted hemp business.

They have made it their mission to reintroduce hemp products in a way that helps people throughout the world. As well as health-boosting CBD supplements they also produce hemp fibre insulation for eco homes.

When we were approached by Reakiro to review their product I was happy to write a review based on my own experience. However, it soon became clear that Reakiro were only interested in us doing so if they could have the final say on the review content. We of course said no. This did raise an alarm for me. How could I trust reviews elsewhere if they were only wanting good ones? So, we got hold of a bottle and decided to try it without the oversight of Reakiro. That way we knew there was at least one real review available to the public.

My first impression upon opening my order was that the packaging had a style that is different to many CBD brands. Most go with a simple design in muted colours that hints at the natural origins of the oil. Reakiro’s packaging is clean, bold and uses a metallic lime green to stand out.

The oil I tried from the Reakiro range was a 5% concentration. It’s a full-spectrum oil with 500mg of CBD and CBDA in an MCT carrier oil. Tucked inside the packaging was a printed copy of the third-party lab test results. This is great and shows a commitment to transparency that doesn’t always exist in the CBD industry.

Who are Holland & Barrett?

Reakiro is primarily stocked at Holland & Barrett. Found in most towns and cities throughout the UK, Holland & Barrett are ‘health and wellness retailers’ and stock everything from specialist foods to protein powders and herbal skincare products.

Best known for their wide range of healthy products including options for those who follow a vegan or gluten-free diet and an impressive selection of herbal teas. They sell a range of CBD oils, we’ve tried most of them so we can answer once and for all is Holland & Barrett CBD oil is actually any good?

They’ve been trading for more than 145 years and have stores in several countries, including the Netherlands, Malta, the United Arab Emirates, China and India. While they offer convenient access to a wide range of reasonably priced health products, they have a poor reputation for online customer service.

Third-Party Lab Results

The lab tests are available for all Reakiro CBD products on their website and they refer to the current batch. I was impressed with the range of cannabinoids which included:

  • CBD and CBDA
  • Trace amounts of CBDV, CBDVA, CBG, CBGA, CBC, CBCA, CBN, THC and THCA;

It was possibly one of the best cannabinoid profiles I’ve seen to date. I would also be interested to see an analysis of the other substances it contains to see if the unique smell and taste is an indicator of a good range of terpenes and flavonoids.

Ease of UseReakiro 5% CBD Oil Box and Bottle

The oil is easy to administer, it has a dropper, which I occasionally struggle with, but this one worked well. The game-changer for me was that the recommended amount was phrased as 2/3rds of the dropper instead of several individual drops. This made it much easier and allowed me to deliver each amount quicker than usual.

It’s a light-coloured, clear oil that isn’t too viscous, so it’s easy to take the amount you need without smearing it everywhere. The child-safe lid seals well and I had no worries about leaks or spills. As well as the bottle, it has a cardboard tube with a foam insert to keep the bottle safe. I didn’t think this was necessary, but it worked. It kept the bottle in position and added an extra layer of protection in case of leaks or accidents.

Reakiro CBD Oil Taste

When I opened the bottle my first impression was of a kind of nutty Turkish delight aroma. I said this to my wife, she looked at me quizzically and said, ‘it smells like grass!’ I disagree, it certainly has a hint of something more fragrant.

The flavour of the Reakiro 5% CBD oil impressed me. As with many oils, it has a bitter after taste, but there is a pleasant flavour which I can only describe as a mix of flowers and nuts. Overall it successfully walks the fine line between intense bitterness and the gentler notes of the terpenes. The terpenes make it a more pleasant experience than many others, but the bitterness tells you it should be effective.

Potency/ Effectiveness

This is what lets this oil down. With 500mg of CBD in 10ml, you don’t expect it to be incredibly potent. The price tag however places it alongside oils from brands like Biobloom and Biopurus. With both of those oils, even in the 4% and 5% versions, I had a physical grounded feeling. I can only assume this comes from the use of whole plant extracts with an incredible range of cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes and phytonutrients.

After I’d taken it for over a week, I still felt that it didn’t quite have the power that I would expect in a premium oil. This is probably why Reakiro wanted to see the review before going live, despite getting many areas of their brand spot on, the oil doesn’t live up to the marketing.

Reakiro Value for Money

The price of a 10ml bottle containing 500mg of CBD is £34.99. This puts it at the upper end of the market in competition with premium products. This isn’t surprising as the label refers to it as “premium” and the packaging is designed to give this impression.

The price wouldn’t normally put me off, I’m willing to pay more for good oil which is flavoursome and potent. The Reakiro 500mg has an easily acquired taste that I’ve quickly grown to enjoy, but the drawback for me is that compared to other 5% oils it is not as effective.

Final Thoughts – Reakiro CBD Oil

From the moment I received this oil, it was clear that Reakiro is determined to make an impact in the CBD industry. The bottle draws attention and including the lab results is a professional touch that immediately built trust.

However, despite these good elements, it didn’t have the effect I would expect from a CBD oil with this price tag and list of cannabinoids. With that in mind, I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere. There are many quality CBD oils available in the UK but this wouldn’t make our top 10. Check out some of our favourites like Eir Health No 30, Cibdol 4% and Bud & Tender 1000mg.

Would I Buy Again?

No, I would not buy Reakiro CBD oil again. There are much better and more cost-effective oils available and these can be found in our best UK CBD oils article. As the product only uses hemp grown without fertilisers and pesticides it cannot be included in our best organic CBD oil reviews either.

If what you seek is a high-strength oil, at 5% it is a long way off the threshold of 25% to be included in our list of the strongest CBD oils available in the UK.

Reakiro 5% CBD Oil
Overall
The Reakiro 5% oil wouldn't be amongst my top choices. It has fragrant herbal flavours blended with the standard hemp bitterness you expect with a good full-spectrum oil. It comes with lab reports which is a great touch but the oil wasn't as effective as it could be for £34.99.
