Endoca CBD Oil Review

Endoca have a growing global reputation for their quality standards and meticulous attention to detail. One of their goals is to “make CBD commonplace in the homes of people around the world by 2030.” This bottle of Endoca 15% CBD oil is from their extensive range of full-spectrum hemp products.

From the packaging to the detailed information available on their website, Endoca has a professional and direct approach. The presentation of this oil is simple, and most of the space on the box is given over to important information about its contents and suggestions for storage.

In each bottle, you get 10ml of organically certified hemp oil carrying 1500mg of CBD. It also contains a blend of omega 3, omega 6 and vitamin E. Each drop delivers 5mg of CBD which indicates that you should be able to get 300 drops from the bottle.

Who is Endoca?

Endoca is a Danish CBD brand founded by Henry Vincenty. Ten years ago, Henry was studying Biotechnology and Genetics at the University of Copenhagen. As part of his studies, he was able to travel around Africa, supporting different health projects. One of those was a mobile AIDs clinic. During this time, he became aware of the benefit of natural remedies and heard about CBD.

He was intrigued by its potential, so when he returned to Denmark, he began to explore it further by opening a free clinic that offered natural lifestyle medicines. After a while, the clinic started to develop its own hemp products and soon, Endoca was born.

Named for the human endocannabinoid system, Endoca now grows over 2,000 acres of hemp and create a diverse range of CBD products of the highest safety and quality standards. Their exemplary third-party lab tests include a detailed screening of over 200 pesticides, heavy metals and mycotoxins.

Third-Party Lab Tests

Endoca’s lab tests can be hard to find because they are kept under the title ‘Quality Report’. Once you’ve discovered the database of certificates, you will see how seriously they take third-party lab testing.

Drop-down menus displaying ranges of batch numbers and product types make it easy to quickly find your product or browse through the results for different items. The certificates themselves are incredibly detailed and are, without a doubt, the most comprehensive I’ve seen. They include full cannabinoid and terpene profiles alongside the results of screening for toxins.

The batch number for my oil is 1477 and the certificates show:

  • CBD = 15.27%
  • CBDA = 0.1%
  • CBDV = 0.9%
  • CBG = 0.44
  • CBGA < 0.05%
  • THCV < 0.05%
  • CBN = 0.29%
  • CBC = 0.62%
  • D9THC < 0.2%
  • THCA = ND

This is an impressive profile with a good range of beneficial cannabinoids. However, while reading through the information, there are a few points that require clarification:

1. The amount of CBD reported as 15.27%, and CBDa is 0.1%, but the total of CBD + CBDa is noted as 15.27% instead of 15.37%. This was the case in all the certificates I looked at in their database. This may likely relate to conversion between CBDa and CBD, but it needs clarification. There is a useful calculation at the bottom of the certificate to model decarboxylation, but if this would apply here, the total should read 15.35%. (CBD-A can be converted to active CBD using the formula: CBD-A x 0.877 = CBD.)

2. The amount of D9-THC doesn’t seem to be treated in the same way as other cannabinoids. There may be a reason for this, but given how crucial this measurement is, it’s vital that the reporting of it is crystal clear. The cannabinoid profile states that D9-THC is <0.2%. If this is the lower level of the analysis, why are CBGA and THCV shown as <0.05%? The problem with this is that in a bottle of 10ml, this could be as much as 20mg of THC. The legal limit in the UK is 1mg per container.

The terpene profile showed that several terpenes are present:

  • β-Caryophyllene = 0.30%
  • Myrcene = 0.4%
  • α-Pinene = 0.38%
  • Limonene = 0.82%
  • Linalool = 0.12%

The results of the toxin screening showed that there were no residues of heavy metals, flammable compounds or chemicals.

The most useful feature of a lab report is to verify that the active ingredients are present in the amounts on the product label and that the THC content is at a legal level. To do this satisfactorily, there needs to be a further explanation.

Organic Certification

Endoca mentions that their hemp is farmed on organically certified land and manufactured in organic facilities. This is verified by the inclusion of the European Organic certification logo on the box. The Dutch branch of the authority issued the certification.

Ease of Use

Endoca 15% CBD Oil Review

The bottle is robust and leakproof, and it has a bulb-tipped dropper that delivers small regular drops. Personally, I don’t find droppers the best way to take CBD as, unless using a mirror, it can be tricky to check exactly how many drops you’re using.

The lid was well sealed when it arrived, and once this was broken, it closes well but has no child-safe mechanism. On the packaging, you can find information on how to store the bottle and how much CBD is in one drop, but there are no directions for use. I guess it could be self-explanatory, but for those new to CBD, it’s always helpful to explain how to hold it under your tongue and for how long.

Endoca 15% CBD Oil Taste

This is a crystal-clear golden oil, but it packs a flavour punch of something much darker and more viscous. It has a grassy, almost fruity flavour with a powerfully bitter aftertaste that can produce a burning sensation in your mouth.

The longer you hold it under your tongue before swallowing, the more you can reduce this, but it’s still extremely unpleasant. If you’re not keen on strongly flavoured oils, it would be worth holding it under your tongue and then washing it down with some water.

If you are looking for oil without the stronger taste check out these reviews:

Potency/ Effectiveness

I decided to take four drops, twice a day which gave me a daily dose of 40mg of CBD. I held them under my tongue for 90 seconds and then swallowed them. After a while, I got used to the intense flavour, but it was well worth it for its potency.

I often find that I’m quite sensitive to the effect of CBD, but these were particularly strong. I found them relaxing and soothing. For me, they were calming, but they also helped me to focus during the day.

Endoca CBD Value for Money

At £119 for a 10ml bottle of 1,500mg of CBD, this is one of the higher-priced oils. However, you get a lot for your money. Not only is it a potent, well-made oil, but it also comes with the reassurances of a well-known, well-respected company. In the current CBD market, a product that comes with such detailed analysis and proven information about its sources and processes is rare.

The quality of the oil and attention paid to providing their customers with detailed information about their products would make me happy to purchase this oil. It’s available at a premium price, but this reflects the standard of the product.

Would I Buy Again?

Yes, I would buy Endoca CBD oil again despite the slightly high cost. The oil itself is of excellent quality and they have some of the best lab reports of any brand, this is why they score highly enough to be included in our best UK CBD oils article. As Endoca only use organic hemp, it cannot be included in our best organic CBD oil reviews.

If what you seek is a high-strength oil, at 15% it is just below the threshold of 25% required to be included in our list of the strongest CBD oils available in the UK.

Overall
Endoca's 1500mg oil is organic, rich in cannabinoids and packed with terpenes. This is reflected in its intense, bitter flavour and potent effect. The third-party lab results are incredibly detailed and available for every batch but need a little more explanation in some areas. This is a high-quality oil which is matched by its premium price.
