Cibdol brings a ‘Swiss Purity’ approach to producing CBD oil. They use state of the art processes to ensure that their oils only contain the necessary ingredients with no impurities or additives. As a result, the 4% CBD oil I am reviewing is a golden, straw colour with no cloudiness or residue.
The packaging looks professional and to the point. The label only contains essential information, leaving lots of space for you to see the oil through the clear glass bottle. The appearance of the oil is one of its greatest selling points because it looks like the definition of swiss purity.
The 10ml Cibdol 4% CBD oil is a full-spectrum oil holding 368mg of cannabidiol in an Olive oil carrier.

Who is Cibdol?
Cibdol was formed in 2017 as a collaboration of a small group of Swiss companies. They have produced a range of high-quality oils with a focus on purity and safety. This, combined with their attention to detail, resulted in the brand rocketing into the mainstream and customers worldwide enjoying ‘Swiss purity’.
By using only 100% natural, raw materials they try to limit their carbon footprint and tread lightly on the environment. Cibdol CBD is extracted using Supercritical CO2 methods and is then filtered for purity.
Their approach appears to be effective as they have many happy customers and an excellent rating from over 13,000 reviews on Trustpilot. There are lots of mentions of the high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
They also offer several other products, including CBD e-liquid, capsules, cosmetics, creams and gummies.

Third-Party Lab Tests
Cibdol presents this as a CBD oil made to high standards, so it’s important that the lab certificates back this up. True to their claims, Cibdol has applied the same attention to detail here as they have to their marketing and packaging. There are two certificates easily accessibly on the sales page, one showing the cannabinoid profile and the other with an analysis of heavy metals. Although they don’t provide easy access to the certificates for previous batches, the one available on the product page always seems to match the current batch.
The certificates show that the oil contains slightly more CBD than shown on the label at 4.133%. They also back up the claim of ‘full-spectrum’ by showing a good range of cannabinoids present in trace amounts.
O.33% is the limit of quantification (LOQ), so while these cannabinoids were detected, they were in such small amounts, the analysis couldn’t give an exact reading. Although the level of THC may be lower if it reaches 0.033% that would be equivalent to 3.3mg, which would put it beyond the UK legal limit of 1mg per container.
The heavy metal analysis tested for lead, cadmium and mercury. The results fall within the European safety standards.
Ease of Use
This is a straightforward and easy to use product. The lid of the bottle is firmly secured and there is a plastic seal to be broken when you first use it. It is leakproof but would benefit from a child-safe top to make it extra secure.
It has a bulb tipped dropper which makes it much easier to consume individual drops. This prevents leakage when you move the oil from the bottle to your mouth. I find the process of applying drops under your tongue tricky because it’s difficult to feel the drops land in your mouth. Unless you have a mirror or the help of a friend it can be tricky to be certain you’ve used the right amount. A mark on the dropper showing you how far to fill it up would make this a lot easier.
As with many other bottles, it is difficult to extract the last few drops from the bottle and it becomes more random as you must tip drops straight from the bottle directly into your mouth. The recommended use instructions are on the label and the box and are clear yet brief. I found them easy to understand and they didn’t take up much space on the label.
Despite a couple of points for improvement Cibdol 4% oil is user-friendly and compares favourably to other similar strength products.
Cibdol CBD Oil Taste
The purity achieved with this oil has made a positive impact on its flavour. It tastes similar to the excellent Bud & Tender oil that I reviewed previously but with a slightly stronger after taste. If you don’t like the stronger flavoured oils, this one is for you.
It has a mild grassy flavour which adds a nice background flavour when you hold the oil under your tongue. It still tastes like hemp oil but it’s a much smoother experience with less intensity than others I have tried like the Love CBD entourage oils which are effective but taste terrible.
Potency/ Effectiveness
Despite having a relatively low concentration of CBD I found this to be an effective oil. I took the suggested 4 drops 3 times a day and it helped me to remain relaxed and focused. I also felt a physical feeling of relaxation shortly after holding it under my tongue.
Taking slightly larger amounts in the evening to help me sleep. While it wasn’t always 100% effective in getting me to drift off, I found it helped improve overall sleep quality.
Cibdol CBD Value for Money
The price of 10mls holding 400mg of CBD is £30.39, making 1mg about 7.5p. This makes it a similar price to other good quality oils such as 4% BioBloom, the Eir Health No 30 and significantly cheaper than the impressive 1000mg Bud & Tender. The high-quality extraction and filtration methods used alongside the lab tests and high safety standards make this well worth £30.
For your money, you get a full range of cannabinoids to provide the entourage effect in golden oil.
Would I Buy Again?
Yes, I would buy this oil again but I think the price is a little high and the lab reports do not prove how much of the other cannabinoids the bottle contains. Whilst this oil was certainly good, it didn’t quite score high enough to be included in our best UK CBD oils article. As Hemp Point CBD oil only uses organic hemp, it cannot be included in our best organic CBD oil reviews.
If what you seek is a high-strength oil, at 5% it doesn’t quite meet our threshold of 25% but it is available in 30% and 40% strengths so it is included in our list of the strongest CBD oils available in the UK.
