In the UK, cannabis isn’t legal, but that doesn’t stop people from buying, selling, and getting high. Most people buy from their friendly local dealers, others buy on the dark web, and some spend their time on Instagram or seeking out Telegram vendors. But did you know there are now clearnet sites based in the UK and the U.S. that will happily ship THCA flower, hash, edibles, and carts to your door?

Buying THCA in the UK
First up, it’s important to know where you stand legally. In the UK, THC products in any form are not legal unless you have been prescribed them by the NHS or one of the many private cannabis companies that have sprung up since the laws changed in 2018. But what about THCA?
According to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, pure THCA is not a controlled substance. The UK government website states:
As an isolated substance, in its pure form, THC-A would not be controlled under the MDA 1971. However, it is understood that THC-A readily degrades both naturally, and with a catalyst or environmental change (e.g. heat) to THC which is a Class B, Schedule 1 controlled cannabinoid.
As a result, several stores have popped up claiming to sell “completely legal THCA flowers”. However, it is still illegal, as UK law states that the leaves and flowers of any plant within the genus cannabis are still controlled by Section 37(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971:
[…] “cannabis” (except in the expression “cannabis resin”) means any plant of the genus cannabis or any part of any such plant (by whatever name designated) except that it does not include cannabis resin or any of the following products after separation from the rest of the plant, namely—
(a) mature stalk of any such plant,
(b) fibre produced from mature stalk of any such plant, and
(c) seed of any such plant;.
The reason I mention this is that I think it is important you know that you are still purchasing a controlled substance and that the legal risks of purchasing THCA online are the same as buying cannabis on the streets.
What to Consider When Buying THCA
There are several variables to consider when making your purchase, the most important of which are cost, company reputation, shipping safety, and the type of product that best suits your needs.
THCA Prices in the UK
As already mentioned, THCA isn’t legal in the UK, despite what you may see on various websites. As a result, this is reflected in the costs, with UK clearnet sites setting quite high prices due to the risks they are taking, with an ounce of THCA flower going for over £300 in some less-than-reputable stores.
But you can find the same strains for between £210 and £250 elsewhere, and those are the sites I recommend here. I will also recommend some U.S. sites, my personal favourite sells an ounce for $220 (around £160) or an ounce of smalls for $150 (around £110), with other stores selling budget ounces for as little as $75 (around £55).
When it comes to hash and concentrates, low prices don’t exist on UK sites, with a gram of crumble, shatter, or budder costing anywhere between £20 and £75. For hash, you will pay around £10 per gram if purchasing in smaller amounts, but if you purchase an ounce, it can be around £7 per gram. Hash is a little more difficult to find when ordering from the U.S., but a good range of concentrates can be purchased for around $10-20 (around £7-14) per gram, and you may even find some live resin available for around $50 per gram (about £35).
How to Check THCA Store Reputation
This is probably the most important factor and will ultimately decide whether you end up with some super dank buds or boof. In the worst cases, you could end up with something sprayed with lab-produced cannabinoids.
To check reputation, you can occasionally find stores listed on Trustpilot, but these don’t usually last very long, and reviews are often removed. Reddit is a great source for checking stores, with CBDFlowerUK and UStoUKhempflowers both containing a multitude of firsthand accounts on both products and the stores themselves.
THCA Shipping to the UK (Costs & Risks)
This comes under reputation, too, but I thought it was worth a spot of its own. Ordering from the UK is pretty safe and usually offers the lowest shipping costs, since items are often sent via Royal Mail.
If ordering from the U.S., shipping will cost between $25 and $75 (£18 to £55). While this may seem like a lot, it will often be more than offset by the much lower prices you’ll pay. So, if ordering a couple of eighths or some edibles, ordering directly from the UK is the way to go. But if you are looking for larger weights, then the U.S. is ideal if price is your biggest concern.
UK vs U.S. THCA – Which Should You Choose?
- UK stores – Faster delivery, lower risk, and better for smaller orders.
- U.S. stores – Much lower prices, better for bulk buying, but slower shipping and slightly higher risk due to customs.
No matter where you order from, you will want to ensure your order is securely packaged to stop any odours from escaping and alerting a delivery driver or someone at the sorting office, who may confiscate your order. For peace of mind, all stores on this list have been tested to check the packaging before being listed. I won’t reveal their stealth methods here because you never know who might be reading.
Finally, I should point out that there is slightly more risk when ordering from the U.S., as your package will pass through customs before entering the UK. The risk of confiscation is low, but it does happen. In this situation, you are far more likely to receive a “love letter” than a knock at the door asking you to claim your parcel. Ordering from a UK store removes this risk, but in my experience, confiscations are rare and much more likely to occur due to poor packaging or purchases from unreliable sites.
THCA Product Types (Flower, Hash, Carts & Edibles)
Choosing your store will ultimately come down to product selection. If you are looking for THCA flower, you will have many options; if you are looking for concentrates or hash, there are far fewer options, even fewer if you want to find edibles.
When looking to buy carts or vapes, I would advise caution. I have yet to see anyone offer the lab testing commonly seen in the UK CBD market, and even at U.S. stores that do, I am dubious about how genuine these lab reports are. The risk when buying carts is that they may contain pesticides, vitamin E acetate, lab-produced cannabinoids like HHC and Delta-8, and other substances you won’t want to inhale.
Quick Summary
- THCA legality – Not legal in the UK when sold as flower, despite claims you may see online.
- Cheapest option – U.S. stores offer significantly lower prices, especially for ounces and concentrates.
- Safest option – UK-based stores reduce risk as packages do not pass through customs.
- Best for beginners – UK stores are generally easier for smaller orders and faster delivery.
- Best for bulk buyers – U.S. stores offer better prices on larger quantities.
Best Places to Buy THCA Flowers and More
For each section, I will give you a U.S. option and, where possible, a UK option. This isn’t always possible because there are some stores I cannot recommend; I will mention a few at the end of the article so you know which to avoid and why.

Who to Avoid
I also stated that I would let you know who to avoid and why. The stores below are based on personal experience and testing, and are included to help you avoid wasting money or dealing with unnecessary hassle.
- BudMother – Overpriced & Poor Support: There are two main reasons to avoid them. First is the pricing: they charge £315.99 per ounce of THCA flower, which is far higher than other options. The second is how difficult they are to deal with. In my experience, resolving issues involved sending endless emails and only getting responses when threatening chargebacks. This becomes a real problem if anything goes wrong with your order.
- JK Distro – High Shipping Costs: JK does have some excellent prices, and you can find good value budget buds. However, they charge around £55 to ship to the UK, which wipes out any savings unless you are placing very large orders. At that point, the risk of seizure increases significantly, making it a less practical option for most buyers.
- MYQWIN aka Puffy THCA – Privacy Red Flags: This was the sketchiest experience I’ve had with any vendor. I placed an order, and the payment was taken, but after a week, it still hadn’t been sent. When I followed up, I was told I needed to provide ID to release the order. After sending a photo of my ID, there was still no progress. I then followed up again and was asked to send a photo of myself holding my ID, like it was some sort of hostage negotiation. At that point, I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and canceled the order. After further chasing, I eventually received a refund, but well outside the promised timescales. This raises serious concerns around both privacy and reliability.
- Eight Horses Hemp – Low Quality Product: Prices at Eight Horses are very low, and you can pick up a quarter for around £20. However, it is outdoor-grown and fairly mediocre in quality. Fine if that’s what you are looking for, but not one I can recommend if you want decent flowers.
There are some other stores I have yet to try, such as Frisco Labs, based in the U.S., but their high shipping price of around £55 puts me off. There are also some other UK-based stores, and I will include those once I have tested them myself.
This is why I only recommend the stores listed earlier, and I will continue updating this section as I test more options.
